Ahh, good old Lana. From the looks of things, she's about to play yet another trick on poor Relden. ^^
Okay, I'm not going to lie to you: I mostly made this just because is giving away free dragons, as she puts it (XD I love that expression), and I wanted her to do one of Lana. :3 Plus, I needed a reference sheet for older Lana anyway, as I always screw up her colors. :B Yay for Lana!
Aaaand, now I *must* start work on an MSD page, at long last. *gets to work*
Really? The neck, you say? *looks over neck* I don't see it. Which part? *anxious*
I thought if anything would look weird, it'd be that damn tail. I tried to get it right and failed so many times in succession that I just left it looking funky. Of course, the bit at the tip is intentional, since she broke it just recently in the comic and it never healed quite right.

Ohhh, that. She's holding her head kind of funny; normally, she would hold herself with her neck arched so that her head is nearly over her shoulders. In this shot, she's leaning forward, so I added a little slouch to the neck, making it look thicker.
But I do see what you mean. It could definitely stand to be a little slimmer. I have a problem making the necks TOO slim, so that's weird for me. XD
Ahh. I'm definitely finished with this piece, but I'll keep that in mind next time. ^^

Ah, tails always give me hell. :/ Yours came out looking dandy, though!
It's always nice to have color reference sheets. @__@ I learned that the hard way, but now whenever I work on anything, I make myself a layer in PS that's purely the mid-tones of all my base colors.
Always a good idea.
Especially if your computer crashes half-way through your latest work you've been working hours on...
But enough of my ranting.
I quite agree with previous statements: the wings are pretty.
Thank you! That tail about drove me nuts. 0_o The wings were pretty troublesome, too, as for some reason they had little streaks in them whenever I converted to JPEG. And then they became bubblegum pink as well. T_T So I'm very happy to hear you like them both!
I always have a base color layer, too. Verrrry helpful. Plus in Photopaint all the colors have cool names I can go by. Grape is the color of my avatar's scales, her hair is light blue-green, and so on. Which is why I get lost in Photoshop (actual quote: "Where's the damn grape in this thing??"). XD Hence, the reference sheet!

For those who have many watchers, and for those who dont have many, it is hard to know how one retains that interest as well as receive more. This article explores the basics of watchers and how we react to certain situations. Although it does not affect some deviants, and the tips are generally related to common sense, we hope the article is a worthwhile read and that the majority learn something from reading this.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
Project Comment is a project that features the generally obscured and underappreciated artists and their art in regular news articles. Our objective is to recognise deviants who deserve more recognition and to feature deviations with less than 10 original comments.
The 0-5 Comments Issues feature a deviant as well as 3 deviations with less than 5 original comments from a wide selection of art. Please give your time to this article and to write constructive comments so that you make a true difference to the artists featured here.

The way of the artist is that of an emotional roller coaster, going from the highest of emotions to the lowest ones.
